"Iran and Russia have developed “specific plans” for bolstering the two countries’ military and technical cooperation, says Iran’s defense minister."
"During the meeting “Russia and Iran reached… some agreements and drew up specific plans towards furthering military and technical cooperation,” he noted.
Referring to Iran’s historical nuclear agreement, Dehqan said “under the current conditions bright horizons can be drawn for strategic cooperation between the two countries in various fields.”
Iran and the P5+1 group of countries -- the UN Security Council's five permanent members; namely China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States; plus Germany, started implementing the nuclear agreement, dubbed the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), on January 16."

"Iran's defense minister has censured the United States for adopting a double-standard policy in defending its interests, saying such a policy may finally lead to a new world war.
Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan made the remarks at the 5th Moscow Conference on International Security (MCIS) in the Russian capital on Wednesday."
"For the sake of safeguarding its own interests, Washington is employing “double, multiple standards on the main issues associated with the disruption of safety and stability,” Dehqan said, adding, “They use proxy wars, and they impose a heavy cost on the stage to wage the wars. We see a repeat of the situation and there could be a potential new world war taking place.”
"He further condemned the US, Saudi Arabia, and Israel for propping up terrorist groups “under the disguise of humanitarian aid, under [the excuse of] establishing a cessation of hostilities”.

Iran summons Swiss envoy over US court ruling
"Iran has summoned the Swiss Ambassador to Tehran, Giulio Haas, to object to a controversial ruling by the US Supreme Court over Iranian frozen assets.
In a meeting on Tuesday, Director General for the Americas at Iran’s Foreign Ministry Mohammad Keshavarz-Zadeh handed over two official notes to the Swiss envoy, who represents the US interests in Tehran, in protest at the ruling that almost two billion dollars in frozen Iranian assets must be paid to the families of victims of a 1983 bombing in the Lebanese capital of Beirut.
On April 20, the court ruled that about USD 2 billion in frozen Iranian assets must be turned over to American families of people killed in the 1983 bombing of a US Marine Corps barracks in Beirut and other attacks blamed on Iran. The Islamic Republic has denied any role in the attack.
The money confiscated under the US court ruling belongs to the Central Bank of Iran (CBI). The assets have been blocked under US sanctions.
Keshavarz-Zadeh said the Supreme Court's decision was "a clear and blatant violation of mutual contractual obligations" and the US international legal obligations as well as the "immunity of jurisdiction" for properties and assets of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran."

Turkey too hot for DoD!
This is really interesting because if Erdogan is to
become "higher" than Khamenei things in Turkey
must turn around! They're going the wrong direction!
And look at the last line of quote and see how the US
and Turkey
are working together. That has to change if
the US is going to attack
Turkey and remove Erdogan.

Is there a strain in the relationship between Obama and Erdogan of Turkey?
Obviously, it's not common for countries that are friends to attack
each other. Are we beginning to see a riff between the US and Turkey?
Could this open the door to better relations between Turkey and Iran?
