Iran ready to respond to US if sanctions renewed: Salehi
"Iran is ready to respond if the US violates the landmark nuclear agreement signed between Tehran and the group of six countries known as the P5+1 by renewing sanctions against the Islamic Republic, says the top Iranian nuclear official.
“Iran has made necessary preparations for potential US decisions about the extension of sanctions,” Ali Akbar Salehi, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), told reporters on Monday."
"Salehi noted that Iran is ready to respond to any US breach of the JCPOA, saying Tehran, however, will make necessary decisions at the appropriate time and after the assessment and analysis of Washington’s moves.
He said Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has already provided guidelines to Iranian officials about standing ready to considerably increase the country’s nuclear enrichment capacity."

Sanctions renewal by US breach of commitments: Leader
"Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the renewal of sanctions against the Islamic Republic by the US is tantamount to the violation of commitments under the landmark nuclear deal between Iran and the group of six countries known as the P5+1.
"During the [nuclear] negotiations there was a lot of debate about the sanctions, but now they raise the issue of extending the sanctions in the US Congress and claim that these are not [new] sanctions but renewal [of old ones]," the Leader said in a meeting with a group of Iranian Navy commanders and officials in Tehran on Sunday on the occasion of National Navy Day.
"'Initiating sanctions' is no different from 'renewing them after their expiration,' and the latter is also [an instance of imposing] sanctions and violation of the previous commitments by the opposite side," Ayatollah Khamenei said."

Leader: Iran to respond if US renews bans
"Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has said that Iran would respond if the US proceeded to renew the Iran Sanctions Act (ISA) which expires at the end of 2016.
The US House of Representatives voted for a 10-year extension of the ISA earlier this month but to become law, the bill has to be endorsed by the Senate as well and signed by the US president.
“So far, the current US government has committed several violations with regard to the nuclear agreement,” Ayatollah Khamenei told members of the volunteer Basij forces in Tehran on Wednesday."

US has failed to honor its JCPOA commitments: Velayati
"A senior adviser to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the US has failed to carry out its obligations under Iran’s nuclear deal with the group of world powers.
“The Americans have failed to fulfill their obligations, which were the removal of the [anti-Iran] sanctions and their effects, freedom of trade and scientific, technological, and business ties between Iran and Western countries,” said Ali Akbar Velayati on Saturday.
He stressed that the US was supposed to meet all these obligations after the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed Iran’s compliance with the nuclear deal.
On February 26, the IAEA released its first regular report since the implementation of the JCPOA that verified Iran’s commitment to the nuclear agreement."

US resorting to allegations to steal Iran assets: Journalist
"Press TV has conducted an interview with Tony Gosling, an investigative journalist from Bristol, about Tehran's criticism of US seizure of frozen Iranian assets.
The following is a rough transcription of the interview.
Press TV: Iran is irate that it is having assets seized behind a bombing which the country had no due process to defend itself against the allegation of having involvement in it, your thoughts?
Gosling: Well, this is a bit tricky of the Americans, isn't it, to freeze this money -- two billion dollars, easy to say -- but it's a tremendous amount of money under the sanctions regime. And then as the sanctions are being relaxed, rather than hand the money back now it (the US) wants to steal it for itself. It's just reluctant to go along with the agreements that it's made under the sanctions about this money. The Iranian foreign minister has quite rightly called this "highway robbery."

US must fix deviations from JCPOA: Iran
"Iran criticizes measures approved by the US House of Representatives to block the sale of Boeing aircraft to Tehran, saying Washington is duty-bound to put right all measures that are inconsistent with last year’s nuclear agreement between the Islamic Republic and six global powers.
“What is important to the Islamic Republic of Iran is the opposite side’s commitment to its obligations [under the nuclear agreement], and we have nothing to do with the US domestic issues,” Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi said on Friday.
He went on to say that the Islamic Republic “regards the US government responsible for Washington's fulfillment of its commitments.”
“Sensitivities and inter-party blackmailing in the US on the verge of the country's presidential election are understandable,” he added."

Ayatollah Khamenei says Iran defiance behind US enmity
"Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the US hostility against the Islamic Republic stems from Iran’s defiance of Washington’s arrogant policies."
"“Were the Iranian nation ready to surrender, they (arrogant powers) would have comprised over [Iran’s] missile power and nuclear energy and they would have made no mention of human rights,” said the Leader."
