The importance of the 1st great commandment for your inner joy and peace

This is copied from the eBook Building Superpowers Within And Mighty Shields All About

I t’s so humbling to realize Heavenly Father, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost in perfect oneness, creators of heaven and earth, Heavenly Father, the Father of our spirit, all powerful, all knowing, all loving, all caring, and the list goes on… Heavenly Father who must be so very busy, yet, he, our Father, wants to guide us personally, individually, lovingly, forgivingly, longsufferingly, and the list goes on… to the point that he commands us to let him guide us… so… we can have the life experiences that are according to his will… so we can, through the grace of Jesus… after this life... live with Heavenly Father, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost for eternity in his kingdom… where there is everlasting love, joy, peace… and the list goes on. And… Jesus and the Holy Ghost… want the same thing for us. They love us so much they want us to feel their love always! They want us to stay in touch with them, pray to them always. We cannot lovingly talk to them ever too much. That is so wonderful and… and it gets better!

Jesus taught about the first great commandment:

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment.
(Matthew 22:37-38)

Our perfect Father in heaven wants us to love him with all our heart, soul, and mind because it’s the way to our greatest happiness. How does he know that? One reason is because he knows all about love. He loves us with all his heart, soul, and mind.

Because Heavenly Father loves us with all his heart, soul, and mind, he wants to be perfectly involved in our lives; Heavenly Father wants us to feel his love always… and for us to enjoy totally loving him always.

Heavenly Father wants us to know we cannot lovingly wear-out our welcome with him… we are to give him our “all”.

Heavenly Father, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost wants us to feel very connected, very loved, very supported, to the point… Heavenly Father made it clear with the first great commandment.

That’s a sampling of how important we are to Heavenly Father, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost. They are here for us. We can trust them. We are to put them first, give our all and let them guide us.

We cannot give Heavenly Father all our heart, soul, and mind without giving him everything. Our sins, sorrows, regrets, hurt feelings, our bills, our job, our paychecks, our time, energy, our assets, our love, our happiness, and the list goes on.

Then what happens when we give Heavenly Father all our heart, soul, mind, sins, and all the rest? What happens when we do that with sincerity? We put Heavenly Father, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost in charge. Who better to be in charge? Jesus said:

9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
(Matthew 7:9-11)

Heavenly Father, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost have done so much for us. We have this beautiful earth. We have moral agency. We have the plan of salvation by which we can, through them, live with them in the kingdom of God after this life. Heavenly Father loves us so much... well you know the verses... Jesus said:

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
(John 3:16-17)

If you haven’t already done so, you are going to be in for a wonderful experience when you truly, valiantly, work at keeping the first great commandment. Heavenlly Father fills your soul with blessings... and they keep coming for eternity!

What’s our choice? Think of the endless directions you can go in life. You can be a maverick and simply go and do what you want without keeping the first great commandment and get what you get. You can do what your spouse wants you to do without keeping the first great commandment. You and your spouse can leave God out or put him below #1. Your employer, friends, and the list goes on… could offer input on what you should do… and you can put God other than #1. Yet, what do you get if you do any of those paths?

Have you tries to just do things your way without putting Heavenl Father first? Have you made a “plan” without putting Heavenly Father first? How has that worked out?

Reminds me of the saying… If you want to humor God… Just tell him what your plans are.

I think we can all relate to that. Lol
