Any major news media covering this?

What we are watching for is Iran and another country
(which looks to be Turkey) to push to the west, north
and south. In early 2016 Iran and Turkey were supporting
opposite sides in the Syrian war while also claiming to be
fighting the common foe often referred to as ISIS
(or Daesh).
It has been so interesting to see How Iran and Turkey
have come to unite much more closely.
We can much more easily see Iran and Turkey pushing
to the west, north, and south.

Both Iran and Turkey are "pushing"
Obviously not in complete agrement.
Here's a good test to see how Iran and Turkey
settle this issue.
Iran urges ‘swift pullout’ of Turkish forces from Syria
"Iran has once again expressed concern over the continuation of Turkey’s military incursion into Syria, urging all countries to respect the Arab country's national sovereignty and territorial integrity."

Turkey is pushing ot the south.
Very good reporting by Gilip Galay gives us
a perspective of what's going on in that region.
As you will see, it's complicated.
Yet, clearly Turkey scores high for
progress in their agenda.
Turkey's Jarablus operation scorecard
"Barely a month after the traumatic July 15 failed coup attempt, Turkey launched a military operation in Syria last week.
Supported and armed by Turkey, Free Syrian Army units swiftly took control of border town Jarablus, pushing the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS) southwest towards al-Bab region and advancing towards the south and west."

Turkey is pushing south.
Turkey plan for Syria incursion in the works for over 2 years: Source
"Turkey’s ground incursion into northern Syria, which Ankara claims is mainly aimed at fighting Daesh, had been in the making for over two years, a Turkish official has said.
The so-called Operation Euphrates Shield began on Wednesday featuring Turkish warplanes and special ground forces to rid the border area of Daesh terrorists and Kurdish forces, according to Ankara.
On Friday, Turkey sent four more tanks across the border into the Syrian city of Jarabulus where the sound of explosions rang out.
The offensive was launched in coordination with the US, which has been purportedly fighting the Takfiri terror group since 2014.
The Turkish government had “been working on a ground incursion for more than two years” which was “delayed” by several factors, the official told the French news agency AFP on Thursday."

This shows that Turkey at this point still
has a relationship with the US.
How long can and will Turkey
be able to work with US and Iran?
The prophecy would suggest Turkey in the
future will have US relationships end.
Damascus slams Turkey’s military 'aggression' against Syria
"Syria has denounced Turkey’s recent military incursion into the Syrian territory, backed by the US-led coalition, saying the offensive violates the Arab country's sovereignty.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry condemned Turkey’s military operation in a statement released on Wednesday, Syrian media reported."
"The reaction came hours after Turkish special forces, tanks and jets backed by planes from the US-led coalition launched their first coordinated offensive in Syria.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the operation in northern Syria was launched in the early hours of Wednesday morning "against terror groups" such as Daesh and the Democratic Union Party (PYD) - a US-backed Kurdish group based in Syria - that "constantly threaten" Turkey."

Turkey, Iran, and Russia relatinoship just keeps getting better.
This article shows Turkey turning towards
Russia and Iran agenda of keeping Assad in power.
Let’s set aside differences over Syria: Turkey
"Turkey has invited various parties to join in the adoption of a new shared attitude toward the crisis in Syria by setting aside conflicting interests.
Speaking on Monday, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said, “It is vital that, without losing more time, a new page is opened in Syria.”"
"Turkey, along with the US and the Arab dictatorships of the Persian Gulf, has been supporting the militants fighting the elected Syrian government. Recently, however, and amid newly emerged differences with the West, Turkey has been gravitating toward Russia, which supports the Damascus government.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan recently met with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Moscow, and called for a “clean slate” in the bilateral ties, which had been soured by Turkish military’s downing of a Russian jet over Syria last year.
Ankara has also enhanced its ties with Iran following a failed coup in Turkey, which Iran became the first country to condemn. Iran, too, has consistently emphasized that the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is the sole legitimate entity to run Syria."

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Bahram Qassemi, the spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, pointed to a recent visit by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu to Tehran and said Iranian and Turkish officials exchanged viewpoints on a raft of issues, including the Syrian conflict, during the visit."

Perhaps this is what was meant by "pushing".
US officials: Up to 100,000 Iran-backed fighters now in Iraq
"As many as 100,000 Iranian-backed Shiite militia are now fighting on the ground in Iraq, according to U.S. military officials -- raising concerns that should the Islamic State be defeated, it may only be replaced by another anti-American force that fuels further sectarian violence in the region."
"The ranks have swelled inside a network of Shiite militias known as the Popular Mobilization Forces. Since the rise of Sunni-dominated ISIS fighters inside Iraq more than two years ago, the Shiite forces have grown to 100,000 fighters, Col. Chris Garver, a Baghdad-based U.S. military spokesman, confirmed in an email to Fox News. The fighters are mostly Iraqis."
